Coral Reefs and Marine Ecosystem Restoration

Coral reefs are among the most diverse and ecologically important marine ecosystems, yet they face increasing pressures from climate change, pollution, overfishing, and habitat degradation. This session focuses on coral reef ecology, conservation, restoration, and resilience. Discussions will address coral bleaching, disease, reef biodiversity, habitat degradation, and environmental stressors. Restoration approaches such as coral propagation, transplantation, reef rehabilitation, and ecosystem-based management will be explored. Advances in monitoring technologies and ecological assessment may support improved restoration planning. Researchers will also examine the role of local communities and conservation organizations in protecting reef environments. Emerging research on coral resilience and adaptation may provide new perspectives for long-term conservation
